In October I was in Portugal for a close friend's wedding. While I was there I had the chance to spend time with Roy and Lance Hedrick. We talked about coffee, craft, and what it means to make things worth making. It was one of those conversations that reminds you why you started.

This year, I've had the chance to connect with so many passionate folks who inspire that same attention to detail - from conversations on EAF and coffee forums to meeting Roy and Lance Hendrick in Portugal, and learning from people who have shaped how we think about coffee design. Those moments reminded me why I started GoodSwitch in the first place: to create tools for the intentional brewer, and to celebrate craftsmanship that endures.

The support, feedback, and enthusiasm from this community mean more than I can say. Every message, photo, and comment helps shape what’s next and keeps the focus where it belongs: on thoughtful design, shared curiosity, and a love of brewing well.
